Role Overview

Location: Stamford, CT

Alta Fox Capital Management is seeking Quantitative Analyst Interns to support the firm’s research and investment efforts. This internship is designed for high-performing undergraduate students entering their senior year (internship to take place the summer between junior and senior year) who have a strong quantitative foundation and a genuine interest in financial markets.

Quant interns at Alta Fox are trusted contributors—not observers. Interns take ownership of defined quantitative research projects, develop analytical tools, and deliver work product that directly informs the investment team’s decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute quantitative research projects that support fundamental investment analysis

  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, signals, and insights relevant to public equity investing

  • Build and refine analytical tools and models using Python (and other statistical programming languages as applicable)

  • Collaborate with investment professionals to integrate quantitative insights into the broader research process

  • Present findings and recommendations to members of the investment team

Qualifications

  • Rising seniors - internship to take place for undergrad students entering their senior year; summer between junior and senior year

  • Strong academic performance (minimum GPA of 3.5)

  • Robust background in mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative disciplines

  • Proficiency in Python (required); experience with R or similar languages is a plus

  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and quantitative analysis

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
